The Emergency Meals Ministry is a well-used and fully operational ministry in your parish. Our volunteers quietly cook, wrap, freeze, or deliver meals throughout the year to families and individuals going through a crisis or time or need. We offer pre-cooked, frozen meals. It is much easier to coordinate this way.

Some of our cooks have been joyfully giving of their time, talent and treasure to fill the parish freezer for years. We would like to give some of them a break. We also need delivery people.

We are know using Take them a meal to schedule meals.  Use takethemameal.com after you receive an email.  If you do not have access to a computer or having any problems please call Lee.

LIKE TO COOK...
Very simply, make some nourishing food: casserole, pot of soup, pork chops and mashed potatoes, warm applesauce, your favorite casserole or stew, etc.

Place in a container which can be picked up in the church closet, or, use your own;
Wrap well to avoid freezer burn - plastic wrap and foil can be found in the parish kitchen;
Label container with type of food and the cooking directions and date - labels and markers can be found in the parish kitchen;
Bring to the parish center kitchen freezer.

You do not need to make large quantities; we help a lot of individuals who need single/double servings.

CAN'T COOK BUT CAN DRIVE...
Delivery people are also needed. Call Lee Parasole for delivery needs, come to the parish center kitchen, fill a box with a few days worth of meals and take to the family or individual in need at that time.

If you have it in your heart and kitchen to help out now and then, please call:
