Purpose: To count the donations in the weekend and holy day collections, complete a reconciliation sheet and prepare the deposit so it can be taken to the bank. Counting is conducted in teams of 4-6 people. 

Time Commitment: Team members are expected to participate in one counting session per month. There are four teams: one counts on Sunday morning, the other three count on Monday mornings. Typical time commitment is 2-3 hours. 

Qualifications: Be comfortable with accurately counting money including bills, coins and checks. Be comfortable using an adding machine to calculate subtotals and totals. The team leader (or designated alternate) also completes a reconciliation sheet (either by hand or in Excel on a laptop) and prepares the deposit for the bank with the assistance of the rest of the team, and needs to be comfortable with this responsibility.
